Sandy beaches to relax on your day’s off!
The glistening turquoise waters in this part of the world are truly something to behold. Kavos is made up of 8km of shore, a stretch of golden sand that offers so much to holiday goers. The weather is hot, hot, hot so you can make sure you get that perfect tan this year. The beaches will quickly become your favourite place to unwind and relax in between work, or to recover after a hectic night out. There’s a magnificent range of water sport activities available for those thrill seekers. The shore is quite shallow, but further out to sea you can try out the banana boat and jet ski rides which are always a good laugh. The coast is lined with bars and restaurants where you can refuel and start to build your energy up for another night of madness working in the party central (Kavos).
Cost of living
How much money are you going to need?
We think Kavos is really good value for money. You certainly don’t need to be a millionaire to go wild over here. Stamina is worth more than money over here, so you’ll need plenty of that if you want to make the most of your working holiday in Kavos. Aside from being delicious, Greek food is relatively cheap, so you can save money by avoiding the more expensive restaurants. Just like any other holiday hotspot, you don’t have to go far to find amazing drinks offers – so make sure you make the most of them to stretch your budget further. You don’t want to be fretting about euros and cents while you’re away do you? If you plan your money smartly, there’s no reason you can’t make a little go a long way. The beauty of a Kavos working holiday is that you can essentially make it pay for itself. If you can save up that little bit extra, it means you can enjoy the awesome range of events and trips that are available around Kavos – we recommend you make that extra effort to top up the piggy bank before you head out here.
A party atmosphere like no other
Kavos probably has the fastest paced nightlight of any destination in Europe. Everything runs at 100mph and it’s so easy to get swept up in the buzzing atmosphere. It has been described as a 24-7 party hub, characterised by wild nights and crazy memories that stay with you forever. The streets are packed with bars and clubs, blaring out banging tunes and inviting you in with electric vibes. Get yourself to an open air, or outdoor, venue and party under the stars – it’s a truly magic feeling. It’s truly one of the most vibrant resorts you could experience. It’s an absolute centre for big nights out – there are no half measures in Kavos. All you need to do is strap yourself in for the ride. And then, the next day – simply take a deep breath and do it all over again. #KAVOSWORKERS
A great opportunity to explore
Kavos is on the island of Corfu which is an incredible place to explore – there is so much to do, whatever you’re interested in. Corfu town is just an hour away by car or coach – it’s ideal for a day trip. You can go shopping at the many impressive retail outlets, or visit the Old Fortress and learn about the history of the island. You’ll quickly realise, it’s about more than just sun, sand and booze. In and around Kavos, there are so many incredible places to eat. Just chuck a stone and you’re more than likely going to hit a tasty restaurant. The Greek’s are super proud of their cuisine and it’s easy to tell why. Getting out onto the sea and booking yourself onto a boat tour or booze cruise can give you a different perspective of the island. It’s also possible to arrange day trips to smaller nearby islands like Paxo where you can enjoy more break taking scenery surrounded by the beautiful sea.
